What we collect
If you join the release mailing list, we collect the email address you submit. If you email macSC, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, organisation and message. The website does not currently include an account system, checkout or public product download.
Like most hosted websites, our hosting provider may process basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp and security events. These logs are used to deliver and protect the website.
Analytics and cookies
Cloudflare Web Analytics may collect privacy-first, aggregated website performance and usage metrics. It does not use advertising cookies, local storage or visitor fingerprinting. Cloudflare may also use strictly necessary technologies to operate, secure and deliver the site.
Email communications
We use mailing-list addresses to send macSC release and availability updates. We use information sent by email to answer enquiries, provide support, respond to security reports and keep a record of relevant correspondence. Email addresses and communications are processed by Resend and our email provider and may be retained where reasonably needed for these purposes.
Product data
macSC is intended to connect directly from a user’s device to that user’s ScreenConnect instance. It is not intended to route remote screen content, credentials, clipboard contents or transferred files through macSC infrastructure.
The product is still in development. Detailed product privacy information will be published before public availability and will describe any diagnostics, update checks or licensing services that are actually enabled.
Service providers
The website is intended to be hosted by Cloudflare, which may process hosting and security data on our behalf. Our email provider processes communications sent to macsc.app addresses. No payment service is active on this website today. If paid licences or subscriptions become available, the selected payment provider will process the information needed to complete and administer transactions under its own privacy terms.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the website and email, or where required to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse or enforce our rights. We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and any applicable legal obligations.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from release emails using the link included in those messages. You may also ask what personal information you have submitted, request a correction or request deletion using the email address in the footer. We may need to retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate security and business records.
